Flu Vaccination
A flu vaccination boosts your protection, together with a healthy immune system.
You help to protect yourself and others from infection.
We carry out the vaccination quickly, safely and at a fair price at the Schlossapotheke Thun.
The flu is not a harmless cold – it can have serious consequences for older people, pregnant women and people with chronic illnesses. A vaccination reliably protects you and those around you from infection.
You can get your flu vaccination from us from mid-October. The cost is CHF 51.85.
You can find more useful information about flu vaccinations at www.impfengegengrippe.ch.

Tick Vaccination (FSME)
Tick vaccination at the Schlossapotheke Thun.
The tick vaccination is the best protection against TBE viruses.
TBE viruses can cause meningitis, which is untreatable.
At the Schlossapotheke, you can get vaccinated professionally and without waiting times.
Ticks can transmit TBE viruses, which can cause meningitis in humans. As there is no effective treatment, vaccination is recommended for people who spend a lot of time outdoors or live in a risk area.
The tick vaccination consists of three doses:
- 1st vaccination: basic immunisation (usually in winter)
- 2nd vaccination: After 2–4 weeks – approx. 95% protection
- 3rd vaccination: After 5–12 months – protection for around 10 years
The vaccination is very well tolerated. Mild reactions such as redness or sensitivity at the injection site are possible and usually subside after 1–2 days.
Cost: 71CHF per vaccination
Duration: approx. 10 minutes

COVID-19 Vaccination
We are an official coronavirus vaccination pharmacy and administer the Comirnaty (Pfizer) / Spikevax (Moderna) vaccine.
A booster vaccination is possible at the earliest 6 months after the last vaccination or a Covid infection.
The vaccination is subject to a fee and is only intended for persons aged 16 and over.
We administer the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine for coronavirus. Vaccinations with Spikevax (Moderna) are available on request, as procurement is limited due to storage conditions.
Please note that a doctor's prescription is required for pregnant women. We are not permitted to vaccinate people with type 1 diabetes, immunosuppression, autoimmune diseases or those undergoing cortisone therapy at the pharmacy.
